Mother Teresa #4 - Doing Good

The good you do today, People will often forget tomorrow, Do good anyway.

There is spiritual value in doing good for the energy it sends out - it puts the Universe in debt to you.

Life - from George Bernard Shaw

Life is no brief candle to me.  It is a sort of splendid torch which I have for a moment.  I want to make it burn as brightly as possible.     George Bernard Shaw

Usually what snuffs out our lit candles are not the obstacles of the day but views of our past or future.
A technique I've seen used is to envision a rope tied to a past problem that clouds our current view - pull and tug at it until attention is again focused only on present time.  Amazing relief and wisdom comes that see the strength or weakness of what was and how its importance looks today.
The future can be handled similarly - throw that rope out there and pull it inuntil it feels like the current moment.  A step toward the goal may appear.
Let's keep our candles lit, My Friends, Merrily

The Value of Tenderness & Kindness

Tenderness and kindness are not signs of weakness  and despair, but manifestations of strength and resolution.   Kahlil Gibran

Today - as always - is a good day.

Two friends were being chided by their peers for always being happy.  "How cna you be that way?"  They would be asked.  These two had similar backgrounds and gave this reply.  "The worst of today is better than the best used to be."  They knew the alternative.   Merrily

Mother Teresa #3

"If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives - be kind anyway."
It's your energy that you are sending - it's stronger than theirs.

Mother Teresa - #2

"People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered - forgive them anyway."

We never really know what soul expression they are following.

God - Shine

Florence Nightingale had as the foundation of her life this idea: “God is in all things, and all things in God, the Eternal shining through the accidents of space and time.”

If such an idea was a person’s divine center and central mission, what kind of life would be possible?  How would life be lived if God was known to be in all things and all things in God?  If the Eternal shined through the events of our lives and the world, would it change the way we live? Our lives are changed when a simple truth is at the center.  What is your simple truth?

Mother Teresa

"People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered - forgive them anyway."

Her soul-searching has led her to believe that by clearing the energy of whatever misdirection was expressed, we clear our world with this immature energy.  Not easy - just important.  Merrily

Love Just Keeps Getting Stronger

Even when we're most sure that love can't conquer all, it seems to anyway.  Anne Lamott

Love is the outworking of the divine and inner urge of life.  It is founded on understanding, nurtured by unselfish service, and perfected in wisdom.  Urantia

Imagination Valued by Einstein

"Imagination is more important than knowledge.  It is the preview of life's coming attractions."

Culture of Prevention

Dr. Sanjay Gupta on American Morning said this today - the medical community needs to focus more on prevention rather than wait till the symptoms become obvious.
And the holistic, alternative, complimentary community says, "Amen."

If You Build It ...

"Show the Father that you are willing to do your best and He will keep increasing your ability and will place you where you will be blessed and where your work will bless others."

Imagination - Life's Coming Attractions

"Imagination is more important than knowledge.  It is

the preview of life's coming attractions."  ~ Einstein

Charles Fillmore, co-founder of Unity, states that the faculty of imagination is seated in the center of our forehead.  Many Eastern traditions would call that the "third eye," - also indicating the flow of ideas  comes into that part of our being.  Intuitive flashes also seem to come in this place.  Many inventors attest to this intuitive flow for their designs, processes and products.

Again, Einstein had it right.

Hurry -Worry Not

"Hurry and Worry both come from an ego-state of mind."  Charles Roth, Unity Minister, Indianapolis IN.

When I hurry I'm really saying, "I'm so important that my presence will disrupt the whole thing."  Maybe it will - then we need to trust that order will prevail.

My focus on a wrong outcome for someone or something lends a hold-back energy - sometimes call negative prayer.  Tom Moore, author of "The Gentle Way," suggests we view these upcoming situations as having "Benevolent Outcomes,"  inspiring many of us to quickly say, "MBO," - Many Benevolent Outcomes, as we go our ways.

This is a charming way to more through our days,
    MBO to you, my Friend
